Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. For safety reasons, please do not participate if any of the following conditions apply. If you are unsure, please check-in with me.
Pregnancy
High blood pressure that’s not controlled with medication
Cardiovascular disease and / or irregularities including a prior heart attack
If you’ve had an aneurysm or if more than one person in your immediate family has had one
A history of strokes, seizures, epilepsy, or TIA’s (mini strokes)
If you’re taking prescription blood thinning or anti-clotting medication
Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
Epilepsy
Detached retina
Glaucoma
Recent head or other physical injuries that are not fully healed and could be re-injured through intense movement
Osteoporosis is normally ok; we just want to make sure you don’t injure your body in case you’re actively moving around.
Hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or serious emotional crisis in the past 10 yrs - please check with me to ensure you’re in a grounded space to work with this breathwork.
PTSD - many people have profound healing experiences. If you currently have symptoms of severe PTSD, please check in first. We want to ensure you have a solid support structure and a willingness to process through emotions that may come up.
If you have asthma, please have your inhaler.
Any other medical, psychiatric, or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in activities involving intense physical and / or emotional release and / or issues from the past being brought up for processing and release.
